This course is designed for leaders, managers, project leads and ICT staff across Africa who are planning, leading or supporting a digital transformation. Most transformations fail not because the technology was wrong, but because they were run as a systems project when the real challenge was a people one: tools were installed, while the human side of change went unled. A soft skills approach flips that around. It treats leadership, communication and adaptability as the engine of change rather than an afterthought, and builds the human capabilities that let new technology actually take root.

The curriculum opens by defining digital transformation and its four types, illustrated by the Netflix case, then names the seven essential soft skills that carry change, from communication and collaboration to adaptability, emotional intelligence and innovation. You will then work through a three-stage method to assess, build and measure those skills, before turning to leadership and change management, four styles suited to transformation, the five principles of change, and the culture and growth mindset that make it durable, with the Tim Cook case.

By mastering these concepts, you will be equipped to lead the human side of a digital transformation, develop the soft skills your organisation depends on, and align leadership, change management and culture behind a change that lasts, in your own context.
