The Smart Africa Digital Academy (SADA), through the Digital Society and Innovation Group (DSIG), in partnership with the Global Gateway initiative of the European Union, the African Union, GIZ and the Ministry of Digital Affairs and Digitalisation of Benin, is delivering a foundational data governance training session for the members of Benin's Data Governance Task Force.

This session provides a rigorous introduction to the core concepts of data governance: definitions, the data lifecycle, institutional roles, and the distinction between data and statistics. It situates these concepts within continental, regional and national frameworks applicable to Benin, and prepares participants for the advanced Level 2 training on data governance in public administration.
