This course is a two-part continental webinar series jointly delivered by the Smart Africa Digital Academy (SADA), under the World Bank-funded WARDIP SOP1 initiative, and the Kenya School of Government (KSG).

The series focuses on two foundational enablers of Africa's digital transformation: effective data governance and institutional cybersecurity readiness. It is designed to equip policymakers, regulators, senior public officials and digital-transformation practitioners with the knowledge and practical approaches required to build trusted, secure, inclusive and interoperable digital government.

The two-part series follows a progressive learning pathway:

  1. Data Governance: Establishing trusted data ecosystems that promote data quality, privacy, security, interoperability, accountability and responsible data sharing.
  2. Cybersecurity Readiness: Strengthening institutional preparedness, protecting Digital Public Infrastructure and essential services, and embedding cyber resilience into digital-government programmes.
