    Theme: AI Capacity Building Session for Policymakers and Regulators
    Date: 5–6 April 2026
    Location: Marrakech, Morocco (Ahead of GITEX Africa 2026)

    This two-day, in-person session is designed to strengthen the capacity of policymakers and regulators in navigating the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence. As AI continues to transform economies and public sectors globally, African governments are advancing national AI strategies and governance frameworks. This session will equip participants with practical knowledge and strategic insights to design, implement, and oversee effective, inclusive, and ethical AI policies.

    Participants will gain valuable understanding in key areas, including AI applications in public service delivery, policy and regulatory considerations, data governance and infrastructure readiness, and responsible and ethical AI implementation. The training aims to support informed decision-making and foster sustainable digital transformation across the continent.

    Please Note: Participation is limited to nominated officials involved in digital policy, ICT governance, or emerging technologies who will be attending GITEX Africa. Nominations must be submitted by 31 March 2026. Early registration is encouraged to ensure consideration and to receive further updates and session details as they become available.
